Seasons at Cliffside
Spring
Spring time at
the Inn brings flowers
and the scent of renewal. Early spring sees a number of
flowers in bloom at the Inn as well as a perennial treat when
vibrant dogwoods, redbud, magnolias and cheery trees blossom to
spectacular effect throughout the region. The colorful
displays, cool open-window nights and comfortable sunny days make
spring an ideal time for travel in Tennessee.

Weather plays a
part in any spring, and
plentiful spring showers offer a calm respite from trials and
troubles. The added runoff gives renewed life to Norris Creek,
increasing it burble to full on laugh.

Summer
Days are quite warm and sunshine abundant during Tennessee's summer.
The garden reaches full bloom during this time, and the trees reach out to the fullest, providing shade and respite.

Winter
Winters in Middle Tennessee are
usually mild with plentiful rainfall. Snowfall is unusual,
but when it comes it often arrives later in the season.
Wintertime brings an assortment of creatures that normally live in the
woods beyond the city into the grounds of the inn foraging for food.
Deer make themselves at home from time to time.
Because there are few below
freezing days, Norris Creek is usually free-flowing in all seasons,
providing it's gentle bubbling yearround.
The garden is quiet but not
without life during the winter months. Perennial flowers
bloon throughout the season to delight onlookers.
